I help early-stage enterprise software companies build scalable sales and marketing processes and produce content to tell value-based stories across a buyer’s journey. Many stories use innovative content marketing, storytelling, and data visualization techniques, enabling sales organizations to simplify stories, increase conversions, and retain more customers.
Many of my stories have been featured on Fortune, Forbes, TechCrunch, USA Today, VentureBeat, The Next Web, Dark Reading, DZone, and many technology sites and blogs. Several conferences and outlets featured some of my technical presentations, including Dreamforce, Droidcon, Interop, New York’s Tech Forum, and hundreds of webinars and videos.
Today, I run marketing for Krista Software. Krista is an AI integration platform that enterprises use to integrate and deploy AI services to improve and optimize business outcomes. I write content, establish automated processes, and produce and host our podcast, The Union.
Before automating everything with Krista, I worked at a mobile security software company, Zimperium. At Zimperium, I was responsible for content marketing and demand generation for Zimperium’s mobile application development business. Prior to Zimperium, I worked at CA Technologies enabling application delivery and operations professionals to build better enterprise applications in less time. My projects were devoted to generating demand for LISA to support application delivery, release management, and DevOps.
At CA, I constructed and contributed to an award-winning industry blog servicevirtualization.com to maintain thought leadership and SEO for service virtualization software.
Before moving over to CA, I advised software development organizations while at a Dallas startup, ITKO. ITKO invented the service virtualization concept and a software suite called LISA, which CA acquired in August 2011. Broadcom has since acquired CA Technologies.
Time devoted elsewhere consists of riding and racing my bike for The Texas Irish, barbecuing, and finding innovative marketing techniques and ideas to help B2B companies tell better stories.
If you have a question or an idea on sales, marketing, technology, cycling, or something else I may be interested in, feel free to contact me at scott @ thescottking.com or LinkedIn and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
Thanks,
Scott
