This policy explains what information thescottking.com collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The site is run by Scott King. Questions can be sent to scott @ thescottking.com.
What I collect
Information you give me. When you use the audit form, I collect your company website URL and work email. When you book a call, the scheduling tool collects your name, email and anything you add to the booking. When you email me, I keep the message and your address.
Information collected automatically. Like most sites, this one records standard usage data: pages viewed, referring site, browser and device type, approximate location from your IP address, and the time of your visit. This comes from server logs and from the analytics and identification tools listed below.
Tools and vendors on this site
- Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager measure traffic and how pages are used. Google’s policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out with Google’s browser add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- RB2B identifies the companies and, in some cases, the people who visit this site, so I can follow up with relevant visitors.
- WPForms processes the audit form on the site. Submissions are emailed to me.
- Koalendar handles call bookings.
- IONOS hosts the site and keeps server logs.
Visitor identification and marketing
When you visit or log in to our website, cookies and similar technologies may be used by our online data partners or vendors to associate these activities with other personal information they or others have about you, including by association with your email. We (or service providers on our behalf) may then send communications and marketing to these email addresses. You may opt out of receiving this advertising by visiting https://app.retention.com/optout.
How I use information

How long I keep it
Form submissions and emails are kept as long as needed to respond and to keep a record of the conversation. Analytics data follows Google’s retention settings. You can ask me to delete what I hold about you at any time.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information I hold about you, or ask me to stop sending you messages. Email scott @ thescottking.com and I will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, including California and the European Union, you may have additional rights under local law.
Children
This site is meant for business audiences and is not directed at children under 16.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date.
