Thirty minutes, on video or by phone. No deck, no demo, and no pitch you have to sit through. The call exists to work out whether what you are dealing with is work I should do, work you should do yourself, or work for someone else entirely.
What the thirty minutes covers
- The first ten are yours. What you sell, who buys it, and the sentence you use to describe it. I will ask you to say that sentence out loud, because a claim sounds different spoken than it reads on a homepage.
- The next ten are the problem. Where the work actually stalls. A category that filled up in eighteen months, a team producing content nobody can tell from a competitor’s, answer engines naming four other companies when a buyer asks, or a positioning argument that lives in one person’s head and has never been written down.
- The last ten are the answer. Scope, fee and timeline, said on the call rather than sent in a proposal a week later. If the fix is smaller than an engagement, I will tell you what to go do and we will end early.
Bring three things
Your URL. The three or four competitors you actually lose to, not the ones in the analyst quadrant. And if you can, whoever gets to decide what the company claims. That last person is usually the reason a decision happens or does not.
If you already know you want the audit
Book here anyway. Every positioning and AI visibility audit starts with this conversation, and thirty minutes decides whether it is the right first step or whether you should skip straight to the work.
