iCloud Corruption

honpotA couple of days ago my mother-in-law asked me to look at her iPhone. She was confused to why pictures she did not shoot were on her device. I took at look at her iPhone and did indeed find pictures that she probably didn’t take herself.

Upon further questioning, she did state she previously lost a device and purchased a new phone. Both devices have photo backup enabled on iCloud. She obviously did not change her password and now the possessor of the lost device is synching to her iCloud account. She has since changed her password.

If you have an iPhone and back up your photos you should do two things. You need to change your password if you suspect suspicious behavior or actions. You need to also disable the geo location data from your camera so pictures you take cannot be located by latitude and longitude.

College Move In Day

I love seeing all the stories about college move in day. Kids moving into their new dorm rooms and getting settled on their own for the first time. Bean There, Done That

Mung beans are a healthy food source that grow without being planted in soil. To begin the growth process, they are soaked in water for twelve hours over night. Afterward, the water is poured out and the beans start growing [courtesy of photosynthesis*]. My experiment explores whether it is better to soak mung beans in …

Austin to Fredricksburg and Back

This past weekend 13 of us rode from Austin, Texas to Fredricksburg and back.  The entire event was planned around birthdays for two of the riders.  They turned 50 and 55. Incredibly, the entire trip had very few mishaps.  There were only two flat tires and only one rider that bonked beyond repair and had …

I am Twisted

Well, it’s official. I now believe all of the people that have been telling me for years that I’m twisted. A couple of weeks before Christmas, I went running on the road and aggravated a condition that had been there for years but never knew it. I went running and then a couple of days …
